Ciara Miller’s plea to the DWTS powers that be for Val Chmerkovskiy to be her partner has officially reached his desk!
The Dancing With the Stars pro told E! News how humbled he was to learn that the Summer House star named him as her top pick.
“I’m so humbled because I saw the Ciara video,” Val said, adding that he can’t “disclose” or discuss potential pairings during the show’s offseason.
“I wanted to say thank you because what a huge compliment that is to be shouted out that way.”
If you didn’t know, Dancing With the Stars pros don’t actually choose their celebrity partners.
Val’s wife and fellow DWTS pro Jenna Johnson jokingly chimed in, saying they’d “put in a good word” with casting director Deena Katz, who was also present at the event.
ICYMI: At Hulu’s Get Real House event in April, Maura Higgins (Love Island) and Ciara Miller were announced as the first two celebrities joining Season 35.
Savanna Bananas star Jackson Olson was also later announced as the third cast member.
Now, as we await additional cast announcements, the franchise is searching for its next pro!
Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro premieres Monday, July 13, at 8/7c and features 12 up-and-coming dancers competing for a coveted spot on Season 35.
