DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy was forced to sit out a recent Dancing With the Stars Live tour stop after being hospitalized with a severe case of vertigo.
The longtime pro took to Instagram to share that he missed the Peoria show after pushing through symptoms for days.
“I was able to get through the show and then we ran some tests,” Val explained.
“Once that little crystal in your equilibrium… once it goes out, it’s really hard to get it back in. So I’m just spinning everywhere.”
Between the constant turning required of ballroom and life on a moving tour bus, Val admitted his body finally tapped out.
“I woke up and just couldn’t get myself together,” he shared, adding that he underwent blood work and vitals checks while resting up.
“Tomorrow’s a day off and I’ll be back on Tuesday.”
