Breaking Bachelor Nation News!
Production executives for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were accused of operating an unsuitable work environment.
Claims against Bachelor Nation’s execs:
“A dozen current and former crew members claimed that Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner have run a โtoxicโ and โhostileโ environment.
Last week, Deadline reported, “theย majority of production staff were axed.” This โbloodbath” came” as aย result ofย ABC and Warner Bros TVโs decision to pauseย The Bachelorette.
Here for the right reasons?
Allegedly, “only their ideas are accepted and others are warned to step in line or else be asked to leave.” Both Freeland and Graebner deny these allegations.
Their legal team made a statement. โMy clients are well-respected professionals with a long history in this business. They are frankly stunned and saddened by some of the things they are hearing now for the first time.โ
The networks are currently looking into complaints it has received. A spokesperson told Deadline, โWe take a healthy workplace culture and safe production environment incredibly seriously. In recent years, weโve made meaningful improvements to our on-set policies and practices. We are committed to continue evolving the wayย The Bachelorย franchise productions operate.” This is an effort to make sure “all employees and cast feel comfortable and heard.โ
Good news for Bachelor In Paradise fans!
BiP goes into production later this year with majority of its crew under the leadership ofย new showrunner Scott Teti.ย “Paradiseย has traditionally had different crew members, given that it generally shoots in Mexico.”
‘But, some had already been informed before this that they may not be asked back. That includes Ken Fuchs, who has directed hundreds of hours ofย The Bachelorย franchise.
Warner Bros TV insiders, however, insist that Ken Fuchs, who is directingย The Bachelorโs Women Tell Allย special next month, remains an โactive part of the franchise.โ
