Rowan Henchy is sharing a hilarious childhood memory involving her mom, Brooke Shields, and Miley Cyrus!
The Next Gen NYC newbie told Page Six that she got a little territorial over her mother when Brooke played Miley’s mom on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana.
“I was such a Hannah Montana fan from the beginning,” Rowan began, recalling attending a live taping of the show.
“I just remember going up to Miley Cyrus and I was like, ‘She’s my mother, not yours,’” she said.
According to Rowan, Miley responded that “they can share her,” but that wasn’t exactly going to fly with a young Rowan.
“You cannot talk to me. That is my mother,” she joked.
Brooke eventually stepped in and reassured her daughter, telling her, “Okay, yes, I’m yours, I’m yours.”
And just in case anyone thought there was some lingering Miley beef, Rowan dropped a comment on the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast clip to clear the air:
“No Miley beef EVER! My idol.”
ICYMI: On Hannah Montana, Brooke Shields played Miley Stewart’s late mother, Susan Stewart, who passed away three years before the start of the series.
While audiences never got to meet Susan in the show’s present-day timeline, Brooke made several guest appearances through family photos, home videos, pre-recorded advice tapes and dream sequences.
