Liann May, the mother of Taylor Frankie Paul, is not holding back when it comes to her daughter’s ex, Dakota Mortenson.
For a quick rewind: after Taylor’s split from Tate Paul in 2022, she jumped into a relationship with Dakota that same summer.
By September, the pair was TikTok official. Fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives got a front-row seat to their rollercoaster romance, including Taylor’s highly publicized domestic violence arrest in February 2023.
During season 3, it often looked like Taylor’s family was standing more on Dakota’s side than hers—sometimes even blaming Taylor’s choices for the strain in their relationship.
But after welcoming their son, Ever, in March 2024 and later splitting for good, things have shifted.
Now, Liann is making it clear she’s team Taylor.
She jumped into the comment section of a TikTok showing Dakota letting loose at a bar, writing:
“Tay deserves so much more.”
Dakota didn’t take the jab lying down. He clapped back almost instantly with:
“Super healthy for us co parenting… Keep it up momma bear lol.”
When a fan pointed out the double standard—Taylor can move on and date casually, but Dakota gets dragged for dancing—he doubled down:
“Facts!! And here lies the problem lol stay as far away from me as possible.”
Considering how harshly Taylor’s family criticized her on season 3, it’s almost refreshing to see her mom going hard for her now. And let’s not forget—Dakota’s alleged infidelity was what finally pushed Taylor to end things for good.
So maybe Liann’s protective stance isn’t all that surprising.
