Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke gave a friendship update since the cast was shaken up after the season 14 reunion.
In an interview with US Weekly, Sutton updated RHOBH fans on where she stands with Garcelle Beauvais, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Kyle Richards, and Jennifer Tilly.
Sutton on Garcelle’s exit:
“I think we were all in shock [when Garcelle left the reunion]. But, Garcelle is a very strong woman. She’s going to make her decision and do what she’s going to do. I just want her to live her best life and be happy.”
Sutton was asked about the future of her friendship with Garcelle. “I am hopeful [for our friendship], but…” Sutton shrugged as the interviewer offered her an out. “You’re giving her a little breather right now.” Sutton added, “I’m just hoping that Garcelle is good and happy and on a path she wants to be on. I know she is.”
Sutton was asked if it was going to be “weird” filming without Garcelle. She replied, “I think it’s going to be interesting going forward with everything. I think every time we start up again, it’s like, ‘What is this going to be now?’ Every season enters that great unknown.”
Sutton’s future with Dorit seems bleak:
“Dorit and I are going to be Dorit and Sutton I’m afraid.”
“It may take us a long time to recover. I think on both of our parts, a lot was said.”
“I don’t think either one of us wants the other to be unhappy or to have such animosity between us. It might take us a year, it might take 10 years. But, I think eventually we will find common ground. I think we will. I just don’t know how long it’s going to take.”
The interviewer added, “If you and Erika [Girardi] can get there …”
Speaking of Erika:
Sutton enthusiastically agreed. “Listen. That’s was my biggest surprise [this season]. I think Erika and I may have had some fun times over the course of the season. It really surprised me the most of everything.”
“I wasn’t surprised Garcelle could speak so wonderfully and eloquently to my mother – not surprising.”
“I wasn’t surprised my mother said ‘I love You.’ It took a minute. Erika and I were at Chuck E. Cheese having fun. She yelled at me on a boat, so the fun moments were nice. They were surprising.”
Kyle doesn’t seem to be holding space for Sutton:
“Kyle has been really busy. I haven’t seen her since the reunion. I’ve been really busy.”
“I think we’ve all had the really great diaspora after the reunion. We’ll see when I get back to Los Angeles.”
Sutton’s status with Jennifer Tilly:
“I think my friendship with her did change a little” after filming with the RHOBH cast together, explained Sutton.
“Jennifer didn’t realize how hard filming the show is. So, that kind of shocked her a little bit.”
“I think that Jennifer wanted to play the middle ground. Like, ‘Sutton, you shouldn’t have said that.’ But then, ‘I love you. You’re one of my best friends.’ We didn’t know how to go back and forth on that.”
“But, I can take it. I love her. We’ve been friends for 20 years. It’s going to be all good. Jennifer and I are neighbors, best friends, and I just love her dearly.”
