Caroline Wiger is reportedly “furious” that she was “cut” from appearing on Survivor 50 … she thinks it’s because Jeff Probst is holding her appearance on The Traitors US against her.
The US Sun claimed Jeff and the Producers of Survivor are “punishing” one of The Traitors fan favorites. The Survivor legend grew an even bigger fanbase as she was one of most buzzed-about contestants thanks to her quirky personality.
With an all-star season of past players approaching, one would think Caroline would be a shoo-in for Survivor 50. “Despite viewers begging CBS to include Carolyn, she shockingly did not make the cut.”
Caroline’s Survivor Invitation was retracted:
A source spilled, ”Carolyn was told she had a spot on Survivor 50 but now it’s not happening. It wasn’t signed yet but they verbally told her she would be on but just cut her. Without warning.”
The insider added that Carolyn’s “blood is boiling” and she is “furious” about the decision. “She’s upset mainly because of the reason – she fully believes the producers have a chip on their shoulder about Survivor players who go on to do other shows.”
“I mean, Jeff himself has even said that he has a problem with it. She feels she was done dirty and feels the producers need to get over it, people go on other shows all the time, it’s how they make money. They cannot be mad at their contestants for staying employed, it’s f*cking ridiculous.”
Caroline is looking for work:
The popular Traitor took to her Instagram story to secure a gig. “Schedule just cleared up for the Summer. Does anyone have a contact at Deal or No Deal Island or Survivor Australia?”
FYI, the 50th season of Survivor will be filming this Summer.
There’s a receipt of Jeff’s issue with Survivors going on other shows:
Carolyn then posted a clip of Survivor host and executive producer Jeff Probst admitting that he “rolls his eyes” at other television programs “stealing” contestants from his show.
“I do get a little territorial,” admitted Jeff. “I’m not going to lie because it’s vicious. It’s tough. You got to keep the show as good as possible. You’ve got to be ahead of everybody else.”
“I try to remind myself to stay cool, I’m working on it. I really am working on it that we’re not in charge of anyone’s destiny.”
“That just because someone went to play Traitors, it doesn’t mean they can’t come back and play Survivor.” Jeff’s words weren’t aligned with his snarky tone with a noticeable smirk.
