Dorinda Medley made it nice for her (too short) stint on season 3 of The Traitors US.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, the Real Housewives of New York alum revealed some behind-the-scenes information from the Scottish Castle.
Survivor:
“I’ve never watched Survivors [Survivor, lol]. That’s a different breed,” explained Dorinda. Survivor “is search-and-destroy.”
“There is no fashion, no humor, and there’s no buddy-buddy. They live a different way of life.”
Sam Asghari:
“I meet this wonderful man, Sam,” gushed Dorinda. She introduced herself and asked about him. “He said, ‘I’m a model/actor. I just got divorced.'”
“Well, that’s a shame,” Dorinda told Sam. “You’re such a young, nice guy. I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’m asking all of these questions [about his ex], ‘Is she in the same business?'”
“Finally, this girl Britney (coincidently) from Big Brother says to me, “That’s Britney Spears‘ ex-husband. I had no idea it was Britney’s ex-husband! I had no idea. Literally, I was mothering him saying, ‘There’s more fish in the sea.'”
Strategy:
The Tonight Show’s host, Jimmy Fallon, asked how the matron of Blue Stone Manor prepared for the whodunit.
“I prepared like I was really going to war,” explained Dorinda. I read Art of War twice. Twice! And took notes. Not the CliffsNotes … I actually read it.”
“I studied philosophers like Nietzsche. When I got into my room,” Dorinda detailed, “I had scotch tape and I put all of these poster boards up for my strategies each day. I was so ready to kill it.”
Then, Dorinda lamented, “I had the best clothes!”
A quick aside about Dorinda’s wardrobe we were robbed of seeing. “I had the best outfits ever.” Dorinda told Glamour, “I broke out all my old Vivienne Westwood. I had all my Prada tartans; I had a lot of Libertine … endless amounts of Burberry. [And] I didn’t get to break out any of it. The shoe situation was out of control.”
Holding space:
We aren’t the only ones hopeful Dorinda will return to Alan Cumming’s murder mystery competition.
When asked if she’d return to The Traitors, Dorinda enthusiastically responded, “In a second! It’s a great experience.”
… Kate Chastain competed twice, after all!
