Reality TV villain Spencer Pratt lost his long shot bid for Los Angeles mayor, placing third.
As of the evening of Monday, June 8, Karen Bass has received 34.3% of the vote, with 93% of the votes counted, as per the Associated Press‘ estimates. Nithya Raman received 28.6% of the vote, while Spencer received 25.8%. Bass and Raman will now advance to the general election on Nov. 3.
Never forget, Spencer threatened/promised to move his family out of Los Angeles if either Bass or Raman win in November. “I will be done with trying to live in L.A.”
He frequently denounced Bass and Raman’s records, including their handling of last winter’s wildfires that destroyed his Pacific Palisades home. “This is where I live.” TMZ later reported that Pratt had been staying at the Hotel Bel-Air, a luxury property outside Beverly Hills. He’s really slumming it, lol.
Now that he’s out of the running, fans and critics will see if he delivers on his promise.
Celebrities who supported Spencer are his former MTV co-stars Brody Jenner, Kristin Cavallari, and Audrina Patridge. Public figures from Paris Hilton, Diplo, Kaskade, Perez Hilton, Candace Cameron Bure, Meghan McCain, and Billy Bush also supported Spencer.
Additional celebrity endorsements include Dennis Quaid, James Woods, Kelsey Grammer, and Selma Blair. Music producer David Foster and singer Katharine McPhee Foster famously hosted a star-studded fundraiser for his campaign.
On the other end, former Vanderpump Rules alums Katie Maloney and Dayna Kathan platformed Nithya Raman on their podcast, Disrespectfully, signaling who earned their support.
Chelsea Handler, Yvette Nicole Brown, Bobby Berk, and Holly Robinson Peete were vocal against the inexperienced Spencer heading the California government sans experience.
Lisa Rinna, Chrishell Stause and Gabrielle Union also made it clear that Spencer wasn’t qualified for the job.
