The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will look very different for season five as there will be only five episodes, and Taylor Frankie Paul (and Dakota Mortensen) will be filmed in a limited capacity due to restraining orders prohibiting them from having contact.
An exclusive source told PEOPLE that only new confessionals are being filmed. “Right now, they’re just filming confessionals for season 5. They’ve decided they’re not going to film the rest of season 5, but apparently they’re still going to film season 6.”
The source also added that season 5 will only include the five episodes taped before cameras went down in March after a video of Taylor throwing a chair at Dakota, inadvertently hitting her daughter. The Bachelorette decided to cancel Taylor’s season after the video was leaked, with the season due to premiere three days later.
Last month, the court granted mutual protective orders keeping Dakota and TFP apart for three years. Judge Minas said, “Beyond the pale, the toxicity here, I’m really intent on trying to keep the two of you away from each other for now.” Minas also said he intends to keep TFP and Dakota “away from each other for now,” explaining that it is “what’s best” for Ever that they “not be in the same place at the same time.”
