The season 5 Real Housewives of Salt Lake City trailer is out and Mary Cosby is back as a full-time housewife. Bravo TV‘s official Instagram teased, “Last season’s drama was just the tip of the iceberg.” They also dropped the premiere date, September 18th!

Mary Cosby regained her snowflake:
While gossip spread that the church leader was returning to RHOSLC in a full-time role, the ruuuuuhhmuuurs were low-key confirmed. Exhibit A – Mary is in the cast photo. Exhibit B – Mary films in her home with her son – which is not typical of a ‘friend of’ the show.
What’s interesting, IMHO, is that Monica Garcia, Mary’s close friend, wasn’t asked to return after the Reality Von Teese scandal from season 4. After watching the trailer and learning that Mary and Whitney and Mary have become closer (hell hath frozen over) as Mary and Meredith’s friendship deteriorates, Mary’s return makes a lot more sense.
The season 5 RHOSLC cast:
Returning to the cast are Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Angie Katsanevas, and Lisa Barlow. With Monica’s absence as a full time cast housewife, Bravo moved Mary back into her place. Joining as ‘friends of’ the cast are Britani Bateman and Meili Workman.
Britani is a Utah native and practicing Mormon. Her IMDB bio boasts she is “most known for her role as Kelly Powers in The RM, her most recent role as Tori Spelling’s best friend in The Mistle-Tones, and her lead role in Mobsters and Mormons. She has played leading and principal roles in 14 other motion pictures.” Can someone do a wellness check on Heather Dubrow?
Meili is a friend of Whitney’s and is a mom to four. Is it just me, or did she give anyone else Parker Posey vibes in the preview? (The only way to interpret that is as a compliment, for the record.)
