Sarah Hyland announced why she’s moving on from hosting Love Island USA and, ultimately, passing the torch to Vanderpump Rules star, Ariana Madix.
The Modern Family alum took to her Instagram story to share her news. “Well, just got a text.”
“I’m disappointed the news had to break this way, but it is in fact, true that I will not be returning to the island this summer.”
Sarah explained, “I have committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for LOVE ISLAND USA.”
“While I’m sad I can’t return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season!”
In case you missed it:
Ariana Madix will return to the villa – this time as host of Love Island USA.
On the heals of her run as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago, “the Vanderpump Rules star is set to become the new host of Love Island USA next season — meaning she’ll be replacing Sarah … who’s been in the driver’s seat for the past two seasons (Season 4 and 5),” according to reports from TMZ,
Bravo TV fans react to Sarah leaving L.I. and Ariana taking over hosting:
