RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ginger Minj is at the center of major online controversy with many of her fellow Drag Race All Stars season 10 dragtestants.
ICYMI, Ginger shared that she felt unsupported and abandoned by many of her AS10 co-stars after the show aired, despite feeling like they were close when filming together.
Feelin’ froggy?
Ginger Minj’s comment ruffled the adorned feathers of her fellow dragtestants.
In fact, Daya Betty, Jorgeous, Bosco, Acid Betty, and Cynthia Lee Fontaine posted on social media disputing Ginger’s version of events. Ginger’s competitors accused her of exaggerating and misremembering things.
“Going into All Stars 10, I had been in the hospital for a long time. I was really sick. I got COVID, which turned into pneumonia.” Ginger continued, “I really thought I was going to die,” at which point she “got the phone call to come back”.
She said some in the cast turned on her after All Stars started airing to gain “more traction.” According to Ginger, “You get multiple calls. One for interest and availability, a follow-up call, and then the final call that says you are on the show. But none of you would know that.”
Queens clapped back:
GM didn’t feel supported by her castmates in the face of fans’ criticism, except Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Lydia B [Butthole] Kollins.
The outspoken Daya Betty declared, “bullsh*t” against Ginger’s claim. Multiple girls had reached out to Ginger, according to Daya Betty. She said she stopped reaching out to Ginger “because EVERY conversation that was had always ended up ONLY being about you.”
“Don’t try to act like no one had your back. I think people just started to get tired of your pity party.”
Jorgeous reactivated her X account to weigh in on the situation. “You Literally Had Her Back” on the same day as a response to Daya Betty’s post.
Plane Jane chimed in with her signature sharp humor. “Back when it was bigger, too.”
