Dr. Wendy Osefo reflected on her time filming Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition in an interview with Us Weekly.
“It’s an experience of a lifetime,” the Real Housewives of Potomac star exclusively shared. “It’s so interesting to see yourself through the lens of others. And it’s one of those experiences you can’t put a price tag on. I really enjoyed myself.”
The swap:
Wendy’s routine was thrown out the window when she swapped lives with Alethea Shapiro, a free-spirited Floridian. She was forced to prioritize fun and independence and let go of all her rules.
“It changed the way I approached it, meaning it doesn’t always have to be one-sided, being like, ‘OK, Wendy makes the role.’ No, I think that Eddie [Osefo] is an amazing father and amazing husband. He’s more than capable of being able to cocreate whatever we decide, and he’s really doing that a lot.”
While Wife Swap changed Wendy’s POV on her marriage, it also had an impact on the way she cleans up the house after a long day’s work.
“Vacuuming every day? Who has time for that? I’m not doing that. Those things are just like, it’s OK if it doesn’t get done today or if it doesn’t get done this week.”
As for why the host of The Dr. Wendy Show sometimes vacuums in heels, she explained it’s all about the straight lines. “You need to know where you’ve gone over so you can know what you have to do,” she joked.
We need to talk about Wendy and Eddie’s arrests:
A month ago, the Osefos were booked on felony fraud charges. They spent hours in jail before they posted bail.
Wendy is facing accusations of insurance fraud, false statements to a police officer, and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud. There are 16 charges in all.
Half of her charges are for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300. The others are for misdemeanor on false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300. Per a public information officer for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, she also faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to an officer.
Eddie faces 18 charges. “Nine of which are for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300. Eight of Eddie’s charges are for misdemeanor on-false/mislead info fraud in excess of $300, and he, too, faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to an officer.”
Dr. Wendy is appearing at BravoCon this weekend, and we’ll have boots on the ground for all the events!
