Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Rachel Zoe activated her ex-assistant Brad Goreski with her criticism of her former assistants.
How it started:
The fashion designer shaded her former assistants during a chat with Interview magazine, as she called her experience with some bad apples “triggering.”
“I’ve had the best in the world who are like family, but it also goes the other way,” she said. “It’s the hardest job to fill, always.”
How it’s going:
Interview also shared RZ’s remarks in an Instagram post. Quickly, it garnered the attention of Brad, who responded in the comments.
“Triggering for the assistants as well – Taylor, Jill, Jordan, Tara, Me,” wrote Brad.
The Jordan in question, Jordan Johnson Chung, confirmed Brad’s claims. Jordan tagged Brad, writing “accurate.”
What went wrong:
Brad — who got his start in celebrity styling as one of Rachel’s assistants and appearing on The Rachel Zoe Project — parted ways with RZ to start his own career in 2010.
In March 2011, Bravo TV gave Brad his own show, It’s a Brad Brad World. At the time, it was rumored Rachel’s celebrity clientele began to jump ship in favor of Brad’s new venture.
One of the stars in question was Demi Moore. “Rachel is furious. Brad assisted her in styling Demi. Now she feels betrayed,” the insider said at the time.
During a 2011 episode of The RZ Projects, Rachel accused Brad of going after her clients. “[Within a week of leaving, he] started [to] pursue our clients, started going to all these events, and doing all the things he said he had no interest in.”
Later that year, Brad denied RZ’s allegations against him in an interview with the Daily Beast. “I think it’s unfortunate that she decided to take the angle that she did because it’s not the truth,” he said. “And she knows that’s not the truth.”
“I didn’t even say goodbye to a lot of her clients because I didn’t want anything to be misconstrued as me soliciting anybody.”
