Olivia Flowers is opening up about the decision she and her fiancé made to call off their wedding.
The Southern Charm alum revealed to Virtual Reali-Tea more context surrounding her and Alex Williams’ decision to “take a beat” before heading to the altar.
“We’re still together,” Olivia said on the Feb. 13 episode.
“We had so much stress about things post-wedding, and I think we were kinda scapegoating the wedding planning as, this is why we’re stressed.”
Three weeks before the wedding — when all planning was complete — they were still feeling that same stress.
Olivia revealed she and Alex had to have difficult conversations with themselves and their families about what they were feeling.
“We can take a beat for ourselves,” the Southern Charm alum continued.
“We can hit pause and just get back into alignment with one another.”

Alex Williams popped the question to Olivia on Sept. 25, 2024, at the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City.
The couple began dating in May 2023 after meeting at a mutual friend’s wedding.
Now, they remain committed to making their relationship work while also prioritizing what matters to them individually.
“Things were changing. His career needed him in another city, I want to be spending more time in New York,” Olivia admitted.
However, a shocking revelation Olivia shared was that they spent their actual wedding date apart.
She went to Greenville, South Carolina, with her bridesmaids, while Alex spent it with his family in Dallas, Texas.
Ultimately, the “stress and pressure” of what was to come post-wedding was the nail in the coffin.
Olivia said they now have a more “authentic” and “honest” relationship because of how openly they communicate about what they each want.
