He can run a successful real estate brokerage, but can Mauricio Umansky run the city of Los Angeles?
While promoting his appearance on Fox’s Special Forces, the former Buying Beverly Hills star revealed on Live with Kelly and Mark that he’s considering a run for mayor of Los Angeles.
“I’m registered independent,” Mauricio told Kelly when asked about his political affiliation.
“I just feel like we need to bring business back,” he continued.
ICYMI: In 2011, Mauricio co-founded his luxury real estate brokerage, The Agency, alongside Billy Rose and Blair Chang.
The trio opened their first office in Beverly Hills, California, and the brokerage has since expanded globally.
Prior to founding The Agency, Kyle Richards’ ex-husband worked in the clothing and textile industry before transitioning into real estate and becoming an agent at Hilton & Hyland.
“We need to take care of our people,” Mauricio continued.
His goal, should he ultimately decide to run, would be to “take care” of what he called one of “the greatest cities in the world.”
“We need to take care of crime, we need to take care of homeless[ness] … we need to bring business back.”
