Spencer Pratt is eager to make LA “camera ready again.”
Yesterday, the reality star announced his candidacy for mayor of Los Angeles.
“It’s official. I’m running for Mayor of LA,” Spencer wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve waited a whole year for someone to step up and challenge Karen Bass, but I saw no fighters. Guess I’m gonna have to do this myself.”
Social Media Reacts:
- Your calling brother. You live to serve, as a father as a husband as a friend. You will do the same for this city. — Val Chmerkovskiy
- That’s my mayor!! — Perez Hilton
One year after the LA wildfires, The Hills star posted from a rally calling for change.
“The system in Los Angeles isn’t struggling, it’s fundamentally broken,” he said to a small crowd.
“It is a machine designed to protect the people at the top and the friends they exchange favors with, while the rest of us drown in toxic smoke and ash.”
ICYMI: Spencer, his wife Heidi Montag, and their two sons tragically lost their Pacific Palisades home during the 2025 wildfires.
Since then, Spencer has pivoted his social media efforts to calling out current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, who he felt were negligent in their handling of the fires.
He and his wife are among nearly two dozen plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles and its Department of Water and Power, alleging the city mismanaged the water supply.
In a world where a reality star is president of the United States, Spencer’s goal doesn’t feel totally far fetched…and he certainly has a passion for it.
