Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards described the “incredibly moving” memorial service she attended for Mary Cosby‘s late son, Robert Cosby Jr.
Kyle told PEOPLE how “touched” she was to be able to attend the ceremony.
The Sisterhood of the Real Housewives:
Andy Cohen revealed that Kyle was one of several Real Housewives to attend Robert Jr.’s memorial service over the weekend.
Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Cynthia Bailey and Shereé Whitfield made it to SLC to support Mary, as did the entire RHOSLC cast.
Kyle told the publication, “I don’t know [Mary] well, but she’s somebody who’s always been kind when I have met her. And as a mother and a fellow Housewife, I just felt I needed to be there and show up and support her.”
The OG of RHOBH added, “It was just so incredibly moving.”
When it came to the memorial for Mary’s 23-year-old son, Kyle says she had “never experienced something like that.”
She added, “I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to be there and support her and experience something like that. Like I said, I will never forget that day ever in my life.”
Since the service, Kyle and Mary have been “texting back and forth,” Kyle revealed. “I appreciated her having me there because I just, like I said, I was so touched by it,” she adds. “I just can’t imagine what she’s going through.”
RIP Robert Jr.:
Mary and Robert Cosby Sr.’s son, Robert Jr., died on Feb. 23 following a struggle with drug addiction. Two days after their son’s death, the pair said in a statement that he had “been called home to the Lord.”
“Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace.” Their statement continued, “We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
