Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd gave a stern message to talk show host Bill Maher about her viral photo with the man behind the controversial multimillion-dollar ‘renovation’ of the White House’s (once) reflecting pool, John J. Cafaro.
Cafaro is being called out for his $1.7 million no-bid contract tied to the overhaul of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which turned swamp green. The photo that accompanied Bill Maher’s murky (iykyk) headline was of John posed with Kelly Dodd.
During a segment on Bill Maher’s show, The Mold and the Beautiful, he referred to Kelly as “this lady.”
Kelly wasn’t having it.
“Bill Maher – My name is Kelly Dodd. Really, my name is Kelly Leventhal, but my professional name is Kelly Dodd. I am married to Rick Leventhal.”
Kelly flipped the camera to show the segment of Bill’s show she was mentioned on. “I just have one question for this lady who chose to take a picture with him,” led Bill to his punchline. “You know there are other guys who have money, right?!”
Rick yelled from behind the camera, “Yeah, you married one,” as he panned out to a long shot of Kelly with their luxurious OC backyard behind her.
Kelly went back to selfie mode to speak directly to the talk show host. “Hey, Bill Maher. Haven’t you ever taken a photo with people you don’t know?”
She continued, “And I’m sure your staff back there knows who I am. That’s why they put me up. Guaranteed.”
Kelly captioned her video, “Well, thank you for the compliment, Bill! 😊 I’m pretty sure your staff knows who I am. The name’s Kelly… and yes, I’m very happily married.”
