Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Joe Giudice “pretty much” feels like his home is in Nassau, but doesn’t think he should be kept from attending family celebrations and events in America, despite his 2019 deportation.
In an interview with Page Six, Joe declared, “I definitely don’t think I should have been deported. ” Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison and ordered to pay $414,588 in restitution for his financial crimes.
Teresa Giudice’s ex described his fraud crimes as “stupid” and “minimal.”
Small crime, big consequence – as per Joe:
For the record, Juicy Joe was born in Italy but moved to New Jersey as a baby. “I was [in the US] since I was a year old. I have four kids there [and] I was married. Got my whole family there. I mean, it was my fault that I got deported because I should have just become a citizen a long time ago, so I’m not blaming anybody. You know, it was my fault. I had a chance to become a citizen many, many times.”
Joe described his conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and failure to file income tax returns as “a little misdemeanor.”
“But being that I wasn’t a citizen, I had to do all that extra time and go through all that. But it’s not only me going through whatever I went through. I mean, my poor kids, you know what I mean? My ex, my family. They had to go through a lot as well.” Insisting that he “didn’t rob nobody,” Joe added that he didn’t “take the banks for any money” or “default [on] any mortgages.”
Juicy Joe’s political connections aren’t strong enough to get him back in the US:
The father of Teresa’s four dorters took to social media on several occasions to beg Donald Trump for a Presidential pardon. “It’s crazy because then you see Mrs. [Michelle] Obama talking about [how her] favorite ‘Housewife’ is Teresa.”
Never forget, Joe “know[s]” President Trump because he was on “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Of course, it was Teresa who appeared on the competition reality show, not Joe.
Unfortunately for Joe, his pleas for a pardon have gone unanswered. “I don’t wanna live [in the US]. I really don’t wanna live there. All I wanna do is be able to go to my daughters’ graduations. You know, when we have Easter, we have Christmas, holidays. Because it’s a lot for my family, for everybody, to come here.”
Still, Joe believes “somebody in there has it out for [him].”
