Jessica Walter addresses leaving Lala Kent’s pod(cast.)
After news broke that Jessica Walter was no longer a cohost on the Give Them Lala podcast, nor an assistant to Lala Kent herself, all eyes were on Jess for a reason.
Her abrupt exit came as a surprise to many as Jessica was deeply immeshed within the Kent household and company at large.
However, we have officially learned the cause of Jess leaving.
Somewhat.
On January 7, Jessica announced her own podcast — The Date My podcast.
Per the show description,
The Date My: Podcast is an audio & video podcast broken up into 10-episode seasons, consisting of Jessica Walter helping one individual per season, AKA the “Dater,” potentially find love through a series of on-air dates.
But let’s get to the tea.
Jessica bids farewell
As anticipated, the former GTL cohost kept it coy. She didn’t reveal the root cause of her leaving, but we do know it was on her terms.
“I want to address who I think are a majority of the people tuning in right now, who I’m very grateful for,” the MMA lover begins.
“If I’m gonna be honest, I thought I’d be at that last job forever. I was like ready to be a lifer. Maybe not in the role I was in, but I’ll say within the company I was in.”
Jess goes on to say she didn’t agree with the way the team handled a specific situation. Though she did not reveal with the catalyst was.
“Honestly, I was taken aback. I was heartbroken at, you know, at those responses. So, I sort of found myself in a position where I felt like I had no other option than to choose to leave.”
The blonde beauty urged everyone to invest in yourself and to make decisions you can feel good about and to advocate for yourself. Which is exactly what she did!
