During the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Taylor Frankie PaulĀ and Dakota Mortensen‘s public court hearing, details of Jessi Draper‘s affidavit were released.
Jessi revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she thought Dakota was behind the video leak that caused TFP’s season of The Bachelorette to get canceled. The court hearing gave more insight into Jessi’s claims.
Two-faced behavior:
ICYMI – TFP’s attorney, Eric Swinyard, recounted that the former couple’s domestic violence case from 2023 resurfaced in mid-March 2026. Taylor pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault, and the other charges were dropped.
Swinyard argued that Dakota’s previous behavior “contradicts how he is portraying himself today [in court].” That’s whenĀ Jessi Draper’s affidavit was referenced.
Days leading up to the video’s leak, Jessi claimed she came home and heard a “very animated” Dakota vent to his roommate, Cru, and her now-estranged husband,Ā Jordan Ngatikaura, about how the cops were handling the situation.
āHe told [Jessi] that he was going to take matters into his own hands and embarrass Taylor,” Swinyard said. “He specifically told Ms. Draper that he planned on leaking embarrassing videos of Taylor to the press, starting with the barstool video. Dakota specifically named TMZ as the outlet, and a few days later, that exact video was released by TMZ.”
āOur point with the video is that he’s not just trying to come after her for custody,” Swinyard continued. “He’s not just trying to seek a protective order; he wants to literally destroy her. He wants to subject her and her family to a new round of torment.ā
“My client’s big objection to his conduct was this additional harm and embarrassment and shame that he inflicted on [TFP] as well as her children,” Swinyard added. “This was a step too far and shows his true nature.āĀ
For the record … Dakota’s attorney later denied Jessi’s claims of his alleged conversation about sending videos to TMZ.
