Jax Taylor Blames Mortgage For Brittany Cartwright Moving Out

Jax Taylor gave insight into his and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright‘s living situation since she moved out of their family home. The star of The Valley took to the When Reality Hits podcast to give a status update. “I know I said we would never, ever leave each other, but it got to the point where she had to go.” Brittany previously stated she needed to leave the home for her “mental health.”

Jax can’t afford mortgage Brittany to leave:

Jax responded to the question on many Bravoholics‘ minds … why did Jax get to stay in the home? “I pay the mortgage on my home now. I couldn’t pay the mortgage [for] two places. I can’t afford that. I can’t afford a mortgage and an apartment.” So, Brittany was the one to leave.

Apparently, Brittany is funding her life away from her husband. She “does really well for herself.” Jax noted that his baby mama “got a place down the street” from their home. Regardless, “We’re both close to our kid’s school and it’s going to be okay.”

With awareness of his public mage, Jax tackled a couple hot topics fans have engaged in within various comment sections. “I wanted [Brittany] to stay,” Jax added. “I know it wasn’t going well, and I know we have a son to think about, but it never got to the point where we’re yelling in front of our son. And our house is big enough to where you can live on two sides of the house.”

“It got to the point where it’s like, we would start arguing about the dump. Like, if I left the cupboard open, it would spiral into something else. If I left the door open or if I didn’t make the bed, like those kinds of things, we’re starting to set each other off because we’re so angry about other things.”

While the couple lives separately and have permission to date other people, Jax wanted to make it clear their goal hasn’t changed. “We still have to raise our son. I just got off the phone with Brittany an hour ago. We’re still talking.”
