Despite finishing in fourth place, Jana Kramer says she almost walked away from Dancing With the Stars because of her partner Gleb Savchenko’s communication style.
On her Whine Down podcast, the One Tree Hill alum took a trip down memory lane with fellow former DWTS contestant Hannah Brown.
“Emotionally, that show wrecked me,” Jana admitted. “I struggled with the Russian.”
Jana and Gleb were partnered during season 23 in 2016.
While they made it deep into the competition, the country singer said she often clashed with the pro dancer over the way he spoke to her during rehearsals.
“Yeah, I was like, ‘Do not speak to me that way, period.’”
According to Jana, a heated moment in which she threatened to quit the show never made it to air.
“They didn’t show this on the show, but I was like, ‘I’m done. I quit. Yeah, I know that you can keep filming me. Don’t care. He’s being rude, and I’m not having it,’” she recalled.
“At that point, you can push me so far, [then] I’m like, ‘We’re done here.’”
ICYMI: This isn’t the first time Gleb has faced criticism over his behavior.
Most recently, Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader’s on-again, off-again romance with the DWTS pro made headlines after the pair struck up a showmance during season 33.
They briefly split following their October 2024 elimination, reconciled shortly afterward, but eventually fizzled out.
Brooks later accused Gleb of cheating, a storyline that played out on the first season of her Hulu reality series Love Thy Nader.
