Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant were both Reasonable and Shady when discussing Karen Huger being found guilty of DUI and several other charges on their podcast, Reasonably Shady.
For context:
Karen claimed she’d be “vindicated” after her arrest.
However, on December 19th, she was found guilty of most charges. By this point, police body cam footage revealed a drunken Karen acted entitled as she insulted officers on duty went viral. The evidence in court proved there was no ‘vindicating’ Karen’s behaviors.
The ‘Grande Dame’ faces up to two years in prison. Also, late in the conversation, Robyn alleged this was Karen’s 4th DUI …
Reasonably Shady:
A snarky AF Robyn began, “We are talking about Karen Huger from the Real Housewives of Potomac was finally vindicated with a video.”
Gizelle asked, “Did you say ‘finally vindicated?'” Who was vindicated, the streets of Potomac or Karen?,” wondered the mother of three.
Robyn quipped, “If this is being ‘vindicated,’ I don’t want to see what guilty is like.”
Point blank period, Gizelle declared, “You saw guilty” in Karen’s arrest video. Gizelle noted, “We’re laughing, but it’s very, very sad.”
Robyn agreed, “It’s very sad,” before calling Karen out. “But, I don’t think those that are familiar with that person [Karen] were shocked by what we saw. I know what I saw was par for the course. I’m not shocked by the nonsense coming out of the mouth.” She continued, “I’m not shocked by the denials and the deflections. I’m not surprised.”
Gizelle made a point about Karen’s approach to handling this in the media. “In your right mind, you don’t say you’re going to be ‘vindicated’ when you know that video exists.”
Robyn reminded her audience what Karen put out into the press right after the crash. Karen said she was “just sad” at the time of her accident because of the death of her parents. FYI, they passed in 2017 and 2018. “I’m not surprised by anything that happened,” continued Robyn, “and that’s the sad part.”
“I don’t know why she would have even allowed it to get that far knowing that this is what transpired.” She doesn’t think Karen’s denying the charges against her ‘looks favorable at all.’ I wish they had taken a different approach.”
What the future holds for Karen, as per Robyn and Gizelle:
Gizelle explained she “was 100% praying for the best possible outcome for Karen.” She is “60-something-years-old. Do I want to see a guilty verdict that is probably attached to some major penalties for her? NO. But, you can’t do what you did and bend in your state and walk away scot-free.”
Robyn added, “We can’t have this happen again. Apparently, this is her 4th DUI” … *which is an unconfirmed number at this time.*
“People think they are going to make an example out of Karen.” Robyn explained her POV. “This isn’t about making an example out of anybody. It’s about making sure this person doesn’t do this again and seriously hurts themselves or somebody else.”
“I hope she gets a favorable outcome after being found guilty and hopefully sentencing isn’t too harsh on her,” concluded Robyn.
