Gerry Turnerย doubled down on his choice to reside in Indiana, even if that meant losingย Theresa Nist, who he met and fell in love with on The Golden Bachelor. The 72-year-old single took to his Instagram page – donning a shirt that reads ‘Indiana – it’s not that bad!’ seemingly shading his now ex-wife.
The bronzed Golden Bachelor wrote, โThe Annual Poker Run on Big Long Lake shows the best of Indiana culture. Great friends coming together for fun and fundraising. Creative and hilarious Poker stops. Renewed friendships and a few adult beverages.”
Gerry concluded his post boasting, “Best lake day of the summer.โ
Bachelor Nation slid into the comments to share their commentary on Gerry’s post. “Live your best life. Enjoy your beautiful family and lake life. Ignore the trolls!!” Another threw shade at him. “Theresa by your side makes better pictures.”
There are women still throwing their hats into Gerry’s dating ring. “Looks like fun, I would look better by your side. Not everyone sang Gerry’s praises. “Heโs so wonderfulโฆ heโs losing followers dailyโฆ. ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ,” noted a snarky fan of ABC’s juggernaut dating show.
Team Indiana represented. “Indiana. We know how to do it. We have a poker run on Lake Freeman as well to raise money for July 4 fireworks.” An Ohio resident chimed in to add, “I love your T-shirt! I’m an Ohio girl but I love Indiana! So many fun places in Indiana! ๐ฅฐ”
In case you missed it, Gerry gave the low-down to Bach Nation during an April appearance on Good Morning, America. โTheresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations. Weโve looked closely at our living situations and weโve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that itโs time for us to dissolve our marriage.โ
Later that day,ย Us Weekly reported Gerry “filed to dissolve their marriage in his hometown of Petersburg, Indiana” citing โirretrievable breakdownโ as the reason for their divorce. “Shortly before their breakup made headlines, US confirmed that Turner was residing at his lake house in Indiana while Nist stayed at her home in New Jersey.”
