Erika Jayne dropped a major bombshell on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The RHOBH star revealed to Denise Richards and Sutton Stracke that she was recently involved in an abusive relationship.
However, Erika clarified the relationship was not with any of her ex-husbands nor her current partner, John “Shrek” McPhee.
“It doesn’t really matter with who,” Erika told Sutton in the episode Cult’s Out the Bag.
“It happened not too long ago. It had happened more than once, yeah. And then, like, the third time, I was just like, ‘This is not for me.’”
Erika continued:
“I’m just going to say one thing, then I’m going to leave it right here. You have no idea how shameful it is to be the mother of a police officer and have to pick up the phone and call 911 and then call your family member and say, ‘I think you should hear this from me first before you hear it from anyone else.’”
Her revelation came after Denise opened up to the group about her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Aaron Phypers.
ICYMI:
Denise filed for divorce in July 2025 and was granted a permanent restraining order against Aaron through 2030 following abuse allegations.
As of February 2026, she has described what she called “slow-burn” abuse, including a 2025 post-surgery incident she detailed on RHOBH.
During the episode, Erika shared that she had softened toward Denise as both women navigated difficult divorces.
Now, their shared experiences with alleged abuse have deepened that understanding even further.
Next week’s RHOBH preview teases more details about Erika’s past relationship.
“Getting hit or choked, there’s a lot of shame around that,” Erika says in the preview for next week.
