Looks like there’s nothing cooking between Chef Joy Lefaucheur and Luke Bruner anymore.
The Below Deck Med chef revealed she’s no longer picking up Luke’s breadcrumbs.
“For everyone still asking about Luke… I gave that man credit for flowers and a few text messages like he had delivered the moon,” Joy shared.
“Looking back, they were breadcrumbs… and apparently I was the pigeon. At least the pigeon eventually flew away. NEXT COURSE, PLEASE.”
ICYMI: As we saw on Season 11, Luke was at the center of a “love triangle” between Joy and interior crew member Gen Lillie.
Luke initially picked Gen, who was an active player in the “deposit” left on Nathan Gallagher’s bunk that went unwashed for days.
Ultimately, Luke chose Joy and continued to nurture their relationship throughout the charter season.
He sent Joy flowers during charter, which sent Gen into a spiral.
However, that was nothing compared to her reaction when Luke showed up to surprise Joy on the final night of the charter season.
As a final Croatian send-off, Gen ordered a full glass of red wine and then promptly poured it on Luke.
In the end, Joy opted to comfort Gen following the wine pour instead of spending the extra time with Luke.
Post-Season 11, Luke shared on the Aug. 3 episode of WWHL that he had begun dating someone who doesn’t work in yachting.
Meanwhile, Joy told Bravo Insider she’s enjoying being single at the moment.
“I took a break from dating after everything that happened, and I’m more focused on myself,” she admitted.
“I think it’s good, because all the energy that I was putting on men, I’m putting back on me, and it’s great.”
