Brittany Cartwright is sharing her side of the story.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, The Valley star broke her silence following news of Jax Taylor’s relationship with her former publicist, Lori Krebs.
Naturally, Brittany said she feels completely betrayed by the woman she considered a “sister” for over a decade.
“I mean, we’ve been to Mexico, the Bahamas, you name it. She helped plan my [2019] wedding [to Jax],” Brittany told the publication.
Lori was also by Brittany’s side the night she says Jax “almost broke my legs two days before we started filming The Valley.”
Cruz’s mom continued:
“I mean, this person guided me through my horrible divorce, guided me through all the Airbnbs I was living in [after Jax and I split] and would come to my house and let me cry on her shoulders after I had been physically, emotionally and financially abused by this man. She knows every in and out of everything in my life and still chose to sleep with the enemy, basically.”
However, Jax and Lori each responded through their attorneys, strongly disputing Brittany’s claims.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Jax’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, denied the allegations that Jax physically harmed Brittany.
For the record, Brittany has not filed official reports alleging physical abuse.
However, Before TMZ published photos of Jax and Lori together in Puerto Vallarta, Lori reached out to Brittany to give her a heads-up.
According to Brittany, Lori acknowledged the photos would be difficult to see and insisted she never cheated with Jax.
Brittany said Lori told her she would “never excuse the way Jax treated” her, but that “over time” her “relationship with him” changed.
She also claimed Lori reassured her:
“I never discussed your work, your business, your personal life, or our private conversations with him, and I never will.”
Apparently, Jax and Lori bonded over both going through divorces and raising children on the autism spectrum.
Brittany says that explanation hurt even more than the photos.
“Knowing everything that I do for my son, knowing how hard this divorce has been on me, knowing everything I have gone through, that’s what you’re going to say you bonded over? It’s absolutely disgusting.”
Brittany also believes Lori, as an experienced publicist, knew exactly what would happen by displaying affection with Jax at a public resort.
“I think that she wanted that,” Brittany said.
“I have no idea why, but please, take him. Take him ‘cause he’s not going to be any better for you than he was for me.”
The Bravoleb believes the relationship developed because Jax “needs a mommy.”
“He wants somebody to take care of every single thing for him. I did that for 10 years, and once I stopped doing that, he relied heavily on Lori and Ryan for a lot of things. He and Lori have absolutely nothing in common. Nothing, other than my life, my divorce, my kid.”
Also, Brittany addressed critics who have accused her of speaking too publicly about the situation.
“Cruz will know what his dad has done because of his dad,” she said. “I’m sick of people blaming me. Blame the man who did the horrible things, not the woman who had to live through it.”
Movin’ On
Now, Brittany says she’s focused on healing after removing the “snakes” from her life.
“The snakes have been removed from my life, and now that they’re out, I feel like things can only go up,” she said.
“I don’t know how I’m going to get through this, but I’m going to because I’m a strong-ass bitch and my son deserves that. He will never see me sad and upset.”
