Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Brit Eady is pulling the plug on her marriage to Michael Cunningham after 5 years of marriage.
TMZ reported that Brit listed Dec. 1 as the date of separation. That’s about four weeks before she announced their split on social media in a since-deleted post.
Legal deets:
According to Brit, the marriage is irretrievably broken. She doesn’t want her estranged hubby getting spousal support or alimony.
In the docs, Brit says the only marital property is their home in Fulton County. She claimed they mutually agreed to put their home up for sale and evenly split the proceeds. Brit also says she and Michael should keep their respective individual cars that they acquired during the marriage.
While the one-and-done Housewife posted about the split on social media, she says she wants the case sealed because they are reality TV stars and public figures. Brit was featured on one season of RHOA and skipped the reunion.
Brit and Michael tied the knot in 2020. They didn’t have any kids together, so there’s no child support to fight over.
ICYMI:
Brit didn’t ring in the new year with her husband, Michael Cunningham. Brit revealed on the final day of 2025 that she and her husband have ended their marriage.
“I’m posting this on the last day of 365 to remove this facade of faking like this marriage is going to work,” she wrote on December 31.
“Everybody can’t come into the next chapter. I’m done hurting, and I want to be happy in my next chapter. Cheers to 2026 of putting my happiness first.”
However, Brit also made it clear that her decision to walk away has nothing to do with any rumors circulating online.
As much as she “can’t stand him,” she wasn’t going to allow the internet to think her decision to part ways was due to “false narratives.”
