Expect the unexpected — except when it comes to the Season 28 premiere date for Big Brother!
Per Variety, CBS officially announced that Big Brother returns on July 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Additionally, the show’s companion series, Big Brother: Unlocked, will premiere the following day in the same time slot.
Following premiere week, new episodes of the competition reality show will air Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, while live eviction are Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
CBS also teased that Season 28 will feature “the most programming hours ever” in franchise history.
The upcoming season will also mark a major milestone, as Big Brother is set to air its 1,000th episode.
According to CBS, the series is the first primetime show to reach that benchmark.
ICYMI: Big Brother, hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, follows a group of strangers from different backgrounds living together under one roof while being monitored 24/7 by 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones.
Each week, the houseguests compete to avoid eviction until only one player remains standing to claim the $750,000 grand prize.
