“No one said the lord’s work would be easy …” is how Bethenny Frankel captioned a TikTok video of the former Real Housewives of New York star who was left with a bloody cheek after testing a product she discovered on TikTok.
The scene of the crime …. against Bethenny’s face:
B posted her frantic videos, showing her blood-covered face after slicing her cheek. Bethenny pressed a towel against her face while explaining what happened.
She said she bought a skin care product from Nurse Jamie, a silicone cup attached to a glass cylinder she used to contour the face. During her demonstration, the glass broke, causing Bethenny to slice her face open.
Bethenny pointed out that this could have ended very differently… adding she could have slashed her jugular if she hadn’t noticed the damage to her face.
While several of B’s followers encourage the entrepreneur to take legal action, others think the video was edited. “It was intact when you started, then there was a pause in the video. You can see that the piece is missing. Where is the rest of the video?”
Nurse Jamie’s product … and the fine print:
A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and a prominent celebrity skin expert, Nurse Jamie (Jamie Sue Sherrill) is the founder of Beauty Park Medical Spa in Santa Monica.
She’s the creator of her own skincare line, specializing in non-surgical beauty treatments. I googled her product Uplift-N-Glow Cups, which sells for $36, to find some warnings for use.
“Pro Tip: For best results, use with a lightweight facial oil, such as Nurse Jamie’s Miracle Base Oil, to create a bit of slip — allowing the cups to glide smoothly over the skin without pulling.”
“Safety Notice: This product is made of glass. Please inspect the tool before each use and discontinue use if it appears chipped, cracked, or damaged. Handle with care and store in a safe place when not in use.”
