Southern Charm‘s Austen Kroll appears jealous that Craig Conover isn’t holding space for him in his life like he used to.
Austen told Entertainment Tonight his qualms about Craig’s evolution.
Advice via Austen:
“I wish that Craig would have more of a balance in his life.” Austen added, “I wish that Craig would want to go out to dinner with me and Audrey. Craig is like a hermit. I wish he had more balance in his life.”
“I understand his business is very important to him. But, it’s almost like he thinks by hanging out that means, ‘Let’s go get drunk together.’ I don’t care if you drink or don’t drink, I just wish he would have a little more balance in his life. From friends and work. I guess you’ll see that this season.”
Austen thinks Craig’s reaction makes him seem desperado. Craig “Low key makes me look like, ‘I wanna hang out with you more. Don’t forget about me!’ It’s gonna make me look like a child. But, the message is there.”
When asked if success changed Craig, Austen answered, “Craig smelled some success, which I’m very happy for him.” He continued by saying what he predicts the fan response will be … Austen is jealous of Craig.
Austen admits they wouldn’t be wrong! “Yeah. I’m jealous. Like, I do want people to buy my beer like that. I do. Sure! But, it’s not like a nasty jealousy.”
Craig is evolving:
The Sewing Down South owner wanted Paige Desorbo to know how serious he was about their future together … he even reduced his drinking significantly. In an interview with People, Craig explained his major lifestyle change. “I pretty much stopped drinking.”
“Probably once every two months I’ll have a drink or two, but that is drastically better than drinking every night or every other night.” The Southern Charm star continued, “I’m having fun finding that middle ground.”
“I had made a decision months before the season started to become more of a husband and father material than just the fun boyfriend.”
“I could see it in Paige’s eyes that she saw the person I could be. A lot of the energy I used to put into going out was now being put into my company, so my schedule has increased drastically. I just feel like a regular person now instead of someone that’s waiting to film again.”
