Ariana Madix has officially entered the chat — and she’s not here for the assumptions.
In case you missed it: Before stepping into the Villa, Love Island USA contestant Cierra Ortega was exposed for past posts mocking a facial feature associated with a specific ethnic group. The posts resurfaced shortly after her arrival, and fans were not having it.
The backlash was immediate, with viewers calling for Cierra to be dumped — especially since earlier in the season, islander Yulissa was sent home for a similar offense. Combine that with Cierra’s calculated gameplay, and she quickly went from fan favorite to persona non grata.
Fans started putting pressure on Ariana, the show’s host, to speak out.
One commenter on TikTok wrote:
“Just wanna get this right—you can repost 17 videos in 24 hours about leftist causes and immigrant rights, but you’re silent on what Cierra said? Interesting…”
Ariana fired back without hesitation:
“Not silent. You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
To be fair, islanders aren’t privy to the outside world once they’re in the Villa — and it’s clear production is scrambling. Cierra was mysteriously edited out of most of Thursday night’s episode, a red flag that something’s brewing behind the scenes.
But the real question is: why hasn’t the show made a public statement? If it was enough to cut Yulissa, why the double standard now?
