Zarin Fabrics made it abundantly clear they do not stand by the views of their former owner.
The New York–based fabric retailer spoke out amid Jill Zarin’s backlash following insensitive remarks made about Bad Bunny’s halftime show.
“Zarin Fabrics stands firmly against racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or diminish people based on identity, culture, or background,” the company wrote on Feb. 9.
They went on to clarify that Jill has not had any ownership or involvement with the company for quite some time.
A banner placed on the homepage of their website further spelled it out:
“Zarin Fabrics has not been associated with Jill Zarin since Bobby’s death.”
Following the backlash, the former RHONY star deleted the reel in which she called the performance “inappropriate” and criticized it for “lacking white people.”
Jill also deleted her Instagram Stories mocking Lady Gaga’s appearance.
The fabric retailer concluded their statement by reaffirming their stance:
“We condemn language or viewpoints that undermine those principles, and we remain committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment in everything we do.”
Finally, they capped it off by sharing a photo of their former owner—with a giant X plastered over her headshot.
