Sad news for The Challenge family.
On Aug. 13, Tyler Duckworth’s mother, Joni, announced her son’s death on Facebook.
“My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week,” she wrote.
“Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.”
According to PEOPLE, police officers were dispatched to The Challenge winner’s residence at roughly 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, after a neighbor reported water coming through the ceiling from his apartment, the Grand Forks Police Department confirmed.
Tyler was found deceased in his bathroom, authorities revealed to the publication.
The investigation remains ongoing, but police said there currently do not appear to be any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Tyler’s cause of death is “pending the results of an autopsy,” authorities confirmed.
A toxicology report will also be conducted, with results expected to take approximately 10 to 12 weeks.
It’s also not immediately clear how long Tyler had been deceased, though police noted that he was seen the day before.
