Tom Schwartz doesn’t regret much about his time as cowner of Schwartz & Sandy’s, but he does regret its name.
ICYMI: After only two years in business, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval’s Franklin Village cocktail bar was closing its doors.
The closure comes after receiving spammed 1-star reviews on Yelp, as well as Sandoval plummeting on the popularity scale.
On November 25, Schwartz posted the news on Instagram.
“Well shit guys, sad as hell to post this. I’ll do a more sentimental post down the road. Just wanna keep it upbeat and throw some parties to close out the year. Let me and @tomsandoval1 host your events as we begin our farewell tour 🙏❤️”
Katie Maloney did attempt to warn the Toms about the potential issues with the name on Vanderpump Rules.
Nevertheless, they persisted and opened Schwartz & Sandy’s in November of 2022.
Tom reflects on his brief stint of restaurant ownership with “no regrets.”
“I’ve learned so much,” he told E! News.
“I’m for sure a better person because of that place. More confident. Just more grit.”
However — he acknowledges the name on the building might have been a bad idea in hindsight.
“I would never do that again. Ever ever ever.” (And about a million more “evers”)

Schwartz’s proximity to Sandoval during the scandal sealed his fate alongside his rockstar business partner.
