The smallest state with the biggest drama is coming to Bravo with Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
What to expect:
In a sneak peek at the debut season, “some of the group’s most pivotal moments unfold,” per the official synopsis.
“As the summer heat sizzles in Rhode Island, the ladies retreat to one of Newport’s most historic and privately owned mansions, Seaview Terrace, for a glamorous weekend that rivals the Gilded Age, where opulence sets the stage for major shake-ups,” it continues.
“Later, a sun-drenched excursion to beloved East Coast getaway Block Island pushes tensions to a breaking point as two couples go head-to-head. When lines are crossed and truths surface, nothing – and no one – is off limits.”
The cast:
In the new trailer, cast members Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Ashley Iaconetti, Liz McGraw, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Kelsey Swanson and Jo-Ellen Tiberi — along with friend Dolores Catania of The Real Housewives of New Jersey — navigate friendships, relationships and betrayal.
ICYMI, Ashley and her husband, Jared Haibon, aren’t strangers to reality TV. The couple met on season 2 of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise.
The drama:
Rumors of infidelity then begin to swirl when Rulla joins the group and the ladies reveal that “there were echoes of Rulla’s husband having an affair.”
When Jo-Ellen tells Rulla, “that it’s happening currently,” their husbands step in to defend their wives, resulting in a tense argument.
Later, Rulla claims, “This petty f*cking slut has been trying everything to put stuff out there as though my husband’s involved, and, or, still involved, and that’s not the case.”
Meanwhile, Rosie is navigating her own relationship issues, revealing that she and her husband are not on the same page about having children. Alicia later also opens up about her worries that she might not “ever get” her “big fairy tale moment.”
As the trailer comes to an end, Kelsey appears to shock the group when she admits that she has “two people in my life” that “are the most wonderful people ever,” seemingly confirming Rosie’s suspicions that she has “two boyfriends.”
A series of screaming matches led to Jo-Ellen threatening Kelsey: “F*ck with my husband, my kids, with my job. I’m going to ruin your life.” Suddenly, the final moments see Kelsey under fire once again, when Rosie kicks her out of her house.
“What have I done to you? You’re literally no one. You’re not welcome here.” She concluded, “You’re a f*cking bitch. Get the f*ck out.”
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island is set to premiere on Thursday, April 2, before switching to Sundays on April 5.
