HGTV continues to scale back and ax several of it’s popular shows, but The Flip Off was renewed for a second season.
According to reports from PEOPLE, Christina Haack‘s solo show, Christina On the Coast, as well as Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa‘s show, The Flipping El Moussas, didn’t make the cut.
Construction zone:
Christina on the Coast has not been renewed for a sixth season after its premiere in 2019. It centered around Christina renovating homes in Southern California with her signature coastal flair.
Tarek and Heather’s house-flipping show was cut after two seasons. The series followed Tarek and Heather in their newlywed phase while also starting to flip homes together.
Christina and Tarek’s blended family won’t be off television screens. Their newest show, The Flip Off, has been renewed for a second season.
The show stars Heather and Tarek competing against Christina as they each buy a house and flip it to see who can score the biggest return on investment.
More changes at HGTV:
ICYMI, Farmhouse Fixer, Married To Real Estate, Bargain Block, and Izzy Does It were scrapped from the network’s lineup.
A welcome addition to HGTV is Bobby Berk, from Queer Eye fame. After leaving Netflix’s hit makeover show, he was signed to host Junk or Jackpot, which premieres in late 2025.
“I’m coming to @hgtv and @hbomax !! “Junk or Jackpot?”, a new series executive produced by @johncena (yes, that John Cena), sees the former #QueerEye star following collectors as they discover the true monetary value of their extremely unusual trinkets. From rare puppets to dolls and superhero figurines, surprises await at every turn! Stay tuned for more.” You will be able to stream on HGTV and @hbomax.”
