Bachelor Nation was thrown for a loop when ABC announced they are pausing production of The Bachelorette for 2025’s summer cycle.
According to reports from Deadline, “The show generally starts production shortly. The last three seasons have aired in July.” While this is sure to disappoint fans of the juggernaut dating show, The Bachelorette “has not been canceled.”
The Bachelor’s spinoff will likely return, but no plans have been made official.
Itโs not entirely clear why the decision has been made.
This is not a first for Bachelor Nation:
Last year, Bachelor in Paradise did not air. Instead, The Golden Bachelorette filled its spot. Lucky for us BiP fans, it will return as it was renewed for Season 10. In fact,ย Bachelor in Paradise will be the next Bach Nation show in rotation.
ICYMI, The Bachelorette has taken breaks in production in the past. The Bachelorette premiered in 2003, but didnโt air in 2006 or 2007.
Jenn Tran was the most recent Bachelorette. Production did her dirty by not vetting the suitors. Jenn proposed to Devin Strader, who has a criminal past of physically mistreating women. (Thankfully, she found love with Dancing With the Stars pro Sasha Farber.)
Season 29 ofย The Bachelorย – featuring Grant Ellis – is currently airing.
