Summer House star Amanda Batula told Us Weekly she and Kyle Cooke were at a “crossroads” in their relationship when they decided to call it quits.
Just ahead of announcing their split, the couple was trying to figure out “what we want out of life and out of the relationship.”
We’ll see what went down on the 10th season of Summer House:
According to Amanda, “It’s going to be a very raw season.”
“We’re sort of trying to talk through that and figure it all out in real time.” As Summer House fans know, Amanda has begged Kyle to spend time with her at home for years, but he usually chooses to go to bars and clubs.
The situation worsened for Amanda when Kyle added ‘DJ’ to his resume. Kyle, for the record, doesn’t agree that adding a job tied to more partying is to blame.
Kyle feels that blaming his DJing as the reason for the couple’s split is “an easy thing to point a finger at.” He noted that he’s always “traveled for work” and had an “affinity for music.”
“Still, he added, “I’m not trying to discredit how Amanda feels. Her frustrations are totally valid. I think that’s part of what we’re trying to figure out.”
Amanda looks forward to watching season 10:
The swimsuit designer might get answers about her own marriage by watching the season back.
“I’m gonna have to watch it back and figure it out with everyone else, because I still don’t know.”
She continued, “I’m going to be learning a lot watching the show back.”
In a “strange, weird, and twisted” way, Amanda explained, she described this summer as “healing.”
Season 10 of Summer House premieres on Bravo Tuesday, February 3, at 8 pm.
