Alex Cooper‘s reality dating show Love Overboard was lost at sea after just one season on Hulu.
Page Six reported that Disney pulled the plug on the series, which premiered in March, citing low viewership.
Hosted by Bachelorette alum Gabby Windey, Love Overboard put 22 singles aboard a luxury yacht. They competed for romance and the high life for the course of their nine-episode run. Insiders explained the show “wasn’t finding its audience,” so the streaming service axed it.
Fortunately for Alex, the larger Unwell business appears to be doing just fine. “The company recently landed an investment that reportedly valued it at around $500 million.”
Alex’s Unwell enterprise announced more than 8 new shows/films under Unwell Productions … Yes, that includes the scripted drama You Deserve To Know, starring former Vampire Diaries costars Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley.
