Nicole Young has officially exited the chat — and the Oppenheim Group.
The Selling Sunset star was asked to leave a cast dinner after making a deeply insensitive remark about Chrishell Stause’s late parents.
ICYMI: Chrishell has been open for years about her parents’ struggles with substance use in the 1970s.
While addiction was part of their history, neither parent passed away due to drugs.
They both sadly died of lung cancer within a year of each other (her father in April 2019, her mother in July 2020).
During a heated exchange at dinner, Nicole crossed a major line.
“Honey, you’re confusing me with your parents, OK?” she said — implying drug use — before adding, “You seem to be obsessed with drugs.”
The table immediately turned on her.
Nicole attempted to justify her dig by referencing Chrishell’s past discussions about addiction in her family, suggesting it was fair game since Chrishell has accused her of drug use in the past.
But Amanza Smith shut it down by reminding Nicole that Chrishell’s parents “are dead,” calling the comment cruel and unnecessary.
Emma Hernan also spoke up, while Mary Bonnet tried (and failed) to diffuse the moment.
In the fallout, Nicole was removed from the Oppenheim Group and axed from the show.
Yes, Chrishell wasn’t the kindest to Nicole, but Nicole’s comment was way below the belt and way out of bounds.
Honestly? I don’t blame production for cutting ties.
