Netflix just announced a documentary many of us have been begging for.
Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, premieres February 16 and promises to pull back the curtain on the iconic and often controversial competition series that shaped reality TV as we know it.
The doc will feature Tyra Banks, Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker, Miss J Alexander, and several former contestants, offering perspectives from both sides of the judging panel.
Per Netflix, the series is described as “the definitive, must-watch chronicle of America’s Next Top Model — and the chaos in front of and behind the camera.”
What began as a glamorous launchpad for aspiring models eventually evolved into a pop-culture juggernaut, fueled by explosive drama, public meltdowns, and controversies that still dominate viral discourse today.
With unprecedented access to former contestants, judges, and producers, Reality Check examines the show’s complicated legacy and asks an important question:
How far is too far when it comes to entertainment?
The trailer also revisits some of the franchise’s most talked-about moments.
From contestants being asked to switch ethnicities for photo shoots, to invasive makeover procedures, to dangerous runway challenges.
