Big Brother was watching Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin as he was arrested after stealing from multiple CVS Pharmacies in San Fernando Valley, California.
TMZ reported the season 7 Big Brother winner was “arrested on January 29.”
The scene of the crime:
Police officers were dispatched to multiple CVS Pharmacy locations in the San Fernando Valley regarding shoplifting incidents.
According to law enforcement sources, “an employee from the first CVS told cops he confronted Boogie outside the store.” The CVS staffer told the BB alum that he needed to pay for the merchandise he stole. “Malin went back into the store with the items, placed them on the ground, and departed the premises in his vehicle.”
Been Caught Stealing:
The tabloid was told cops know shoplifting suspects often hit multiple stores of the same brand during crime sprees. So, police sent an additional unit to a second CVS.
They located Boogie’s unoccupied vehicle outside the store. “The vehicle was running, and the hazard lights were on. Minutes later, Malin walked up to the officers, and he was detained.” There were no unreasonably long CVS receipts in Boogie’s possession.
According to a witness at the second CVS location, Boogie stole “two bottles of alcohol and energy drinks” from the pharmacy. An employee at CVS signed off on a citizen’s arrest form for the alleged theft.
The reality star was transported to jail, where he was booked for misdemeanor theft and later released on a citation.
Boogie’s arrest history:
Mike’s legal woesย from over the years include debt, lawsuits, and embezzlement claims.
According to Us Weekly, the CVS arrest is just the latest in a handful of legal troubles that began in 2011ย when he was sued for embezzlement and ordered to pay $800,000.
“In 2019, he was arrested for allegedly stalkingย his former alliance-mate and Big Brother 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby. After failing to show up for a court date related to the case, Malin pleaded no contest. He was sentenced to two years probation.”
Just one month after the verdict, the Concord, New Hampshire native pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI following his August 2020 arrest.
Two years later he filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy, which led to the sale of his assets to cover his outstanding debts.
