Your friends here at Taste of Reality took a mini-vacation to Miami for the grand opening of Dancing With the Stars pro dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov’s new Coffee and Confections cafe, Sulta Rosa.
In addition to our Taste Test of Sulta Rosa, we enjoyed lunch at Gianni’s at the Versace Mansion. Before I headed home, I went on a solo mission to get a taste of what Versailles, Seaspice, and Kiki on the River had to offer!
Versailles Restaurant Cuban Cuisine
Miami’s Little Havana is home to Versailles, an iconic Cuban restaurant so good it inspired a featured film.
In 2014’s Chef – which was directed by and starred Jon Favreau – the main character stops by Versailles for a late-night Cuban sandwich. This midnight meal inspired him to move to Miami and start a food truck, which is the premise of the film.
Bravo TV fans may remember Versailles from two Real Housewives franchises.
During season 4 of Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia Echevarria Nepola asked her son, Peter, to walk her down the aisle to her (now) ex-husband, Todd Nepola at the iconic Cuban eatery.
Also, the Real Housewives of Potomac dined at Versailles during their season 7 cast trip to Miami.
Here’s a taste of my experience!
The Versace Mansion
The beachside Miami Mansion that was home to legendary designer Gianni Versace became a historic location as the tastemaker was shot and killed on his front porch.
FX’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story was filmed at the property, which is now a hotel and restaurant.
On season 4, episode 11 of RHOM called Versace and Venom, the women were overnight guests in the hotel celebrating Alexia Nepola’s bachelorette party. The episode features the cast dining in the ornate rooms, wearing Versace, and leaning into the mansion’s over-the-top Miami glamour.

Imani and I enjoyed the three-course prix fixe meal at Gianni’s. Here’s our full review!
Sulta Rosa
Miami Beach’s brand-new luxury confectionery and café is co-owned by DWTS pros Pasha and Daniella.
Sulta Rosa specializes in upscale Turkish and Middle Eastern-inspired desserts. Our favorites were the hot sand coffee, chocolate baklava, and pomegranate & pistachio Angel Delights.
Seaspice
The Real Housewives of Miami filmed at Seaspice during the reboot’s fourth season, as it is one of Miami’s most recognizable waterfront restaurants. Located on the Miami River, guests are treated to breathtaking views of the downtown skyline.
After a big lunch and a bumpy Lyft ride, I arrived at Seaspice with little appetite. All I could stomach was a Coke and a salad – both hit the spot. The kumquats and candied pecans in the baby arugula salad were a nice treat!
Kiki On The River
Kiki on the River was featured on season 5, episode 13 of The Real Housewives of Miami and is the perfect spot for a girls’ brunch.
The Greek eatery is also found on N River Dr. in Miami, just a few steps away from Seaspice. I took the gander from next door for a cocktail. I had the Pufferfish Poloma, which was super cute, despite having to tongue-kiss the glass fish to get the Tajín.
Barton G. Miami Beach is temporarily CLOSED
Unfortunately for me, Barton G’s was closed. Thankfully, it will reopen on Nov. 1st, 2026, after a renovation! “Barton G. will be temporarily closed for exciting renovations and city-required updates. We can’t wait to welcome you back with a refreshed space and the same unforgettable experience you love.”
If you’re a Real Housewives of New York Legacy super fan like I am, you may remember that season 11’s cast trip was to Miami. During episode 15, Life Is Not a Cabaret, Bethenny had a meltdown over Luann’s feelings of grandeur and lack of empathy for the rest of the ladies.
Life might not be a cabaret, but life is a beach for those in Miami!
