Meryl Streep and Martin Short were spotted holding hands while celebrating season 4 of Only Murders in the Building. Their co-star, Steve Martin, third-wheeled the possible power couple at the event at the Paramount lot.

A source told People that the massively talented pair are “just friends.” They posed and smiled together on the red carpet as they celebrated the fourth installment of the hit award-winning Hulu series “while in good spirits.”

Martin’s rep told People that the pair are “just very good friends, nothing more.” The actor that plays Oliver Putnam later reiterated he and Meryl are “not a couple. We are just very close friends.”
In May, Martin addressed the interest in his relationship with Meryl. “It’s always interesting. Show business relationships and spec.” While he didn’t admit to dating the Death Becomes Her actress, Martin admitted Meryl is “fabulous.”
