The Traitors US‘s season 4 breakout star, Maura Higgins, is thrilled to have booked Dancing With the Stars, but has no desire to be The Bachelorette.
Your friends at TOR saw Maura’s DWTS announcement at Hulu’s Get Real event, where she told Entertainment Tonight she’s not interested in ABC’s dating show … especially after her time on Love Island UK.
No TANKS:
When asked if Maura would consider being The Bachelorette, she said, “Absolutely not,” despite fans wanting to see her as a lead for Bachelor Nation.
“Guys, I’m 35,” noted Maura. “I’m so happy.”
Maura added, “I don’t want a man. I don’t want anyone in my space. I like to come home to my beautiful, clean house.” She continued, “I don’t have to pick up their sh*t. I don’t actually have time anyway.”
Regardless, Maura’s eyes are on the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. “I need to get my trophy so I can pop it in my free Birkin.” ICYMI, Rob Rausch bought Maura a Birkin as a consolation prize for his Traitorous behavior in Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle.
Speaking of Maura’s pivot into the ballroom …
Summer House’s Ciara Miller and Maura were the first names announced for season 35 of Dancing With the Stars, which is set to premiere this fall.
Maura made it clear which pro dancer she wants as a partner … Mark Ballas!
Never forget, both Maura and DWTS pro Mark Ballas competed on The Traitors together. Mark knew how badly Maura wanted to be cast on DWTS. “When I got the news, I texted him, ‘I’m going to beg for you. I really want you to be my partner.’ He was like, ‘Let’s just pray. It has to happen.’ He knows that I will give it my all.”
Regardless of who she’s partnered with, “I’m going to be happy,” declared Maura. “But, Mark would be perfect. That’s the dream, because we already have that brother-sister relationship. We have a lot of fun together. We just take the piss out of each other.” Maura added, “We would have such a laugh. And I feel like Mark understands me. He knows that if I’m getting in my head, he’d be able to get me out of it.”
