Mary Cosby revealed how her friendship with Meredith Marks was negatively impacted after she became close friends with Angie Katsanevas.
In an interview with Page Six, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s church leader detailed how she and Meredith have “been on a slippery slope since [she’s] bonded with Angie.”
Meredith’s pattern, according to Mary:
Mary began, “Meredith is the type of person who likes to be in an alliance with someone. And, if you befriend that person that she doesn’t like, she pulls away from you. And that’s what happened.”
Angie joined the RHOSLC cast in a friend of role in season 3 and was a full-time housewife the following season. While Angie and Mary didn’t get along at first, they became friends when Angie nonchalantly told Mary she had lipstick on her teeth at the season 4 reunion. The women have been in each other’s corners all of season 5 thus far.
It’s no secret Meredith isn’t a fan of Angie ‘Greek Mafia’ Katsanevas further complicating her relationship with Mary.
Meredith feels used by Mary:
The bath enthusiast has expressed confusion over the situation. Meredith even suggested that Mary used her, then trashed her despite her communicating with Mary during her season 3 hiatus and friend of status.
“You used me for three years. Yeah, I got the memo.”

At Mary Golightly‘s home during the Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed party, there was a very heated feud at the table between Angie and Meredith.
After trying to intervene, Mary threatened to kick Angie and Meredith out if they couldn’t control their tempers. Angie sat down to take a breath while Meredith interpreted the warning as Mary using her iconic phrase on her … ‘YOU CAN LEAVE.’
And she left.
During the RHOSLC After Show, Mary commented on her squabble with her co-star. “Meredith is going around saying I’m trying to ‘make trouble with her.’ [It] just tells you she has no depth with me. She has no idea who I am. I’m really a no-nonsense [and direct] person. The fact that she doesn’t know that is scary.”
